The Little Book for the new manager

the little book for the new manager

Because managing today is a crazy challenge 😱

The pressure from managers above, the intensity of the crazy day-to-day, employees who are sure they deserve everything. It’s hard to raise your head. But managing is also the most satisfying task you can take on. It will help you grow professionally and personally, even beyond the boundaries of work. This book will help you catch your breath.

You’ll enter the matrix of the management world:

– Understand how neuroscience explains employee behaviors

– The psychology behind their motivations (or frustrations)

– How to deal with employees who are breaking down and how to make talents stick with you

– Understand what’s expected of you, and what you should do in the first 90 days on the job

– And what it means to manage in a post-COVID world

Save years of trial and error, thanks to practices that experienced managers recite in their sleep, and insights from the latest research by Google, Microsoft, London Business School, and the Harvard Business Review.

Who is behind the book?

Hi, I’m Lior Frenkel. Since 2002, I’ve managed hundreds of people, both directly and indirectly. Among other things, I’ve recruited or promoted dozens of “first-time managers.” When I looked for a book to guide them, I couldn’t find one*. So I wrote it myself 🤷🏽. After a decade as an employee in Tech, I became an entrepreneur. In the last 12 years, I’ve founded three startups (two acquired) and several side projects. Recently, I established the innovative Leadership Development Program Adaptation (running at companies such as Fiverr and eBay), and I work with management teams from organizations, startups, and tech companies on adapting to the new world. This is my fifth book.

*There are quite a few smart management books out there, they’re just written in an unreadable language. It’s easy to nap with them.
